Budget 2026-27 Boosts SEZ DTA Sales, Enhances Competitiveness
The Union Budget 2026-27 proposes a one-time measure for **SEZ** manufacturing units to sell in the Domestic Tariff Area (**DTA**) at concessional rates.

GIB Chick Hatched in Gujarat via Interstate 'Jumpstart Approach'
Gujarat witnessed the birth of a Great Indian Bustard (GIB) chick after a decade, through a novel 'Jumpstart Approach' conservation measure.
- A GIB chick hatched in Kutch, Gujarat, on March 26, 2026, after a decade.
- This was the first inter-state 'jump start initiative' for GIBs in India.
- An incubated egg from Rajasthan travelled 770km and was swapped into a nest in Kutch.
- Project GIB was envisioned in 2011 and formally launched in 2016.
- There are 73 GIBs in conservation breeding centres in Rajasthan.
- Rewilding of birds is planned for the near future.

Indian Railways Ethical Ad Policy Boosts Non-Fare Revenue
Indian Railways implemented an ethical advertising policy to generate non-fare revenue, prohibiting objectionable content.
