Drugs Rules, 1945 Amended for Advanced Therapies Regulation
The Central Government has amended the Drugs Rules, 1945 to expand regulatory oversight for advanced medical technologies.
- Cell or Stem Cell derived products, Gene therapeutic products, and Xenografts are now under CLAA.
- The Centrally License Approving Authority (CLAA) framework is expanded to these products.

NHRC takes cognizance of bonded labour assault in UP
The **NHRC** took suo motu cognizance of 12 bonded labourers being assaulted in a factory in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Improved Rice Quality Approved for PMGKAY Beneficiaries
The government approved revised quality specifications for rice supplied under **PMGKAY** and other welfare schemes.

Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank Strike Averted by Tripartite Settlement
Conciliation efforts by **Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), Raipur** averted a strike at **Chhattisgarh Gramin Bank** benefiting 2,610 employees.

India secures landmark green fuel deals with Japanese companies
Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, ACME Group secured major green ammonia and methanol offtake deals with Japanese firms.
- ACME Group secured deals with IHI Corporation for green ammonia and Mitsubishi Gas Chemical for green methanol.
- ACME will supply 4,05,000 tonnes per annum of green ammonia and 1,00,000 tonnes per annum of green methanol.
- The National Green Hydrogen Mission was approved in January 2023 with an outlay of ₹19,744 crore.
- These deals are supported by Japan's Contract for Difference (CfD) scheme for low-carbon ammonia.

Assam Wild Rice Site Declared Biodiversity Heritage Site
A site in Assam for wild rice conservation, funded by the NRAA, has been recognized as a Biodiversity Heritage Site.
- The Borjuli site in Sonitpur district, Assam, is now a Biodiversity Heritage Site.
- The site was identified under an NRAA-funded wild rice conservation project.
- The project, active since 2022, conserves Oryza rufipogon wild rice.
- It is implemented by ICAR-NBPGR in collaboration with the Assam State Biodiversity Board.
