FDC restrictions for children below four years of age
The government has restricted Fixed Dose Combinations (FDCs) containing specific ingredients for children under four.
- Restrictions apply to FDCs with Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride.

National Animal Disease Control Programme Reduces Livestock Outbreaks
Launched in 2019, the NADCP aims to control Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis through nationwide vaccination and surveillance.
- NADCP was launched in September 2019 to eradicate FMD and Brucellosis.
- FMD outbreaks fell from 132 in 2019 to 40 by 2025.
- Brucellosis outbreaks reduced from 22 in 2019 to 15 in 2025.
- Over 147.16 crore FMD vaccine doses administered, benefiting 8.04 crore farmers.
- Productivity of indigenous cattle increased by 44.89% from 2014-15 to 2024-25.

NBA Disburses ₹2.82 Crore for Biodiversity Conservation
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) disbursed ₹2.82 crores under the Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) mechanism.
- NBA released ₹2.80 crores to 27 State Biodiversity Boards and 3 UT Biodiversity Councils.
- ₹2.01 lakh was disbursed to ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Karnataka.
- The funds originated from companies like M/s Advanta Enterprises Ltd. and M/s Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd. for genetic resource utilization.
- Gujarat received the largest share, ₹44.59 lakh, among states.
