Delhi Workshop Raises Awareness Against Illegal Adoption Practices
A workshop in Delhi, organised by **CARA** and partners, aimed to strengthen awareness about legal adoption processes and combat illegal practices.
- The workshop's theme was “Legal Adoption. Safe Childhood. Secure Future. Say No to Illegal Adoption.”
- Around 200 participants attended, including stakeholders from Health and Police Departments.
- The event highlighted that illegal adoption violates the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
- A fiction film on legal adoption was launched to communicate its importance.
- The workshop featured three technical sessions on preventing and responding to illegal adoption.
