NHAI successfully defended an arbitration claim related to the six-laning of NH-48, saving significant public funds.
- NHAI defended an arbitration claim for NH-48 six-laning in Gujarat.
- Contractor M/s SCIW–Unique Construction (JV) claimed Rs. 174.49 crore.
- The Arbitral Tribunal awarded only Rs. 54 lakh to the contractor.
- The contract was mutually foreclosed on 11th May 2020 at 49.79% physical progress.
- NHAI used drone videography and digital records as evidence.
💡 NHAI's digital evidence led to a massive win against a contractor's Rs. 174.49 crore claim on NH-48, awarding only Rs. 54 lakh.
