NCORD's 10th Apex Meeting: Tackling India's Drug Menace
The 10th **NCORD** Apex-Level Meeting will convene to discuss national efforts against the drug menace.
- Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah will chair the meeting on 26 June 2026.
- He will release the Vision Document on Narcotics Control (2026-2029) and NCB Annual Report- 2025.
- The Online Drug Disposal Fortnight Campaign will facilitate destruction of 2,09,500 kg drugs.

- Two new NCB Zonal offices will be inaugurated in Jammu and Guwahati.

VB–G RAM G Act: Inter-Ministerial Consultations Held on Convergence Framework
A high-level consultation was held on the Draft Convergence Framework for the **VB–G RAM G Act, 2025**, which comes into effect on **1 July 2026**.
- The Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025, commences on 1 July 2026.
- The consultation, chaired by Secretary, Rural Development, involved 18 Ministries and Departments.
- The Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan (VGPP) is the primary planning instrument under the Act.
- An interim list of 318 permissible works covers 4 thematic focus areas.
- The Act envisages a "Single Plan – Multi Funding" approach for rural development.
