Jan Vishwas Reforms Amend Clinical Establishments Act
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has amended the Clinical Establishments Act, 2010, rationalizing five provisions under the Jan Vishwas reforms.
- Amendments to Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 notified on 22 June 2026.
- Reforms align with the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, published 8 April 2026.
- The term “fine” replaced by “penalty” in Sections 40, 43, and 46.
- Section 44 introduces graded penalties for company contraventions.
- Adjudicating authority mechanism under Section 41 strengthened and expanded.
💡 The Jan Vishwas Act, 2026, amends the Clinical Establishments Act, 2010, by replacing fines with penalties and strengthening adjudication.

New Order Eases Quality Control for Indian Industry
The **DPIIT** has notified the **Transition Facilitation (Quality Control) Order, 2026** to balance compliance with innovation and supply chain resilience.
- The Order enables industry to use BIS Scheme II licenses, not just Scheme I (ISI Mark).
- Permissions are granted based on technical capability and compliance history.
- Manufacturers with 3 years of consistent adherence to QCOs also benefit.

IAF Receives Final Operational Clearance for Indigenous AEW&C System
The **Indian Air Force (IAF)** has received the Final Operational Clearance (**FOC**) for the indigenous **Netra Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C)** system.
- The Netra AEW&C system was indigenously developed by DRDO, IAF, and industries.
- The FOC certificate was handed over to IAF on June 25, 2026.
- The Initial Operational Clearance (IOC) for Netra was given in 2017.
- The system enhances airborne surveillance, situational awareness, and battle management.
- It was utilized during Operation Sindoor and Balakot strikes.
💡 Remember: Netra AEW&C is a DRDO-developed, IAF-operated indigenous system achieving FOC in 2026, boosting surveillance and utilized in Balakot.

QR Code Drug Traceability Expands to Vaccines, Anti-Cancer Drugs
The **Ministry of Health and Family Welfare** has expanded QR code-based drug traceability to new categories of medicines.
- Amendments to the Drugs Rules, 1945 expand Schedule H2 for track and trace.
- Covers vaccines, antimicrobials, NDPS and anti-cancer drugs.
- Manufacturers must affix Bar Code or QR Code on primary or secondary packaging.
- QR Codes must carry nine key data elements for each product.
- Provisions for vaccines, NDPS, anti-cancer drugs effective from 1 July 2027.
- Antimicrobial provisions effective from 1 July 2028.

PAIMANA Portal Monitors 1,987 Infrastructure Projects Worth ₹42.50 Lakh Crore
The **MoSPI**'s **PAIMANA** portal tracks 1,987 Central Sector infrastructure projects with a total revised cost of ₹42.50 lakh crore as of May 2026.
- As of May 2026, PAIMANA monitors 1,987 projects worth ₹42.50 lakh crore across 17 Ministries.
- Cumulative expenditure reached ₹21.82 lakh crore, or 51.34 per cent of revised project cost.
- The Transport & Logistics sector leads with 1,476 projects and ₹23.50 lakh crore revised estimates.
- The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways manages 1,149 projects (58%) with a cost of ₹10.95 lakh crore.
- 16 projects were commissioned in May 2026, and 35 new projects were added to PAIMANA monitoring.
