23 More Individuals Declared 'Terrorists' Under UAPA
The MHA designated 23 more individuals as 'terrorists' under the UAPA, enhancing India's 'Zero Tolerance Policy' against terrorism.
- Ministry of Home Affairs declared 23 individuals as 'terrorists' on July 4, 2026.
- Of these, 17 are Pakistani and 6 are Indian nationals, operating from Pakistan and PoK.

Modified UDAN Scheme Launched, Jodhpur Airport Terminal Inaugurated

ABC and APAAR: Digital Backbone for India's Education
The **Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)** and **APAAR ID** are key initiatives by the Ministry of Education to build a flexible digital education ecosystem.
- ABC is a digital platform regulated by UGC for storing, managing, and transferring academic credits.
- APAAR ID, a unique 12-digit number, links all academic records under 'One Nation, One Student ID'.
- As of July 2, 2026, 26.35 crore verified APAAR IDs have been generated across India.
- Credits stored in ABC are valid for up to 7 years for redemption and transfer.
- Students can get up to 10% discount on airfares and 10kg extra baggage with verified APAAR ID.

LokOS: Digital Backbone for Rural Livelihoods and SHGs
LokOS is a web and mobile platform under **DAY-NRLM** for end-to-end digitization of Self-Help Groups and their federations.
- LokOS digitizes records, savings, lending, and financial transactions for SHGs and CBOs.
- It tracks financial transactions amounting to ₹2 lakh crore per year within the SHG network.
- SHE-LEAPS, launched on June 29, 2026, is implemented under LokOS for rural entrepreneurship.
- It supports the Lakhpati Didi initiative, tracking 3.87 crore Potential Lakhpati Didis (PLDs).
