Navi Mumbai Airport Notified as Drug Import Port
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has enabled drug imports through **Navi Mumbai Airport** by amending the **Drugs Rules, 1945**.
- Navi Mumbai Airport is now a designated port for drug import.
- This was achieved by amending Rule 43A of the Drugs Rules, 1945.
- The total number of notified ports of entry for drug import is now 42.
- Consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board preceded this notification.

India Hosts 13th ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement Meeting
India hosted the 13th AITIGA Joint Committee meeting to review progress and expedite negotiations for the trade pact.
- India hosted the 13th AITIGA Joint Committee meeting from July 6-10, 2026.
- Meetings were held at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, in a hybrid format.
- The meeting was co-chaired by Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav (India) and Ms. Mastura Ahmad Mustafa (Malaysia).
- Three Sub-Committees met, focusing on Customs, Market Access, and Rules of Origin.
- Bilateral trade between India and ASEAN reached USD 128 billion during 2025–26.

LoA and Odisha Deep Sea Mission for Sustainable Fisheries
The Vice President launched the Letter of Authorisation (LoA) and the Odisha Deep Sea Mission Document to promote sustainable high-seas fishing and blue economy.
- The LoA enables Indian-flagged vessels for regulated fishing in high seas.
- The Odisha Deep Sea Fishing Mission (2026–2036) aims to make Odisha a marine export hub.
- The LoA is mandatory under the Guidelines for Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries, 2025.
- It strengthens FFPOs and fisheries cooperatives through online, transparent processes.
