TRAI repeals TV ad duration regulations
TRAI has repealed its 2012 regulations on TV advertisement duration following government removal of the ad cap.
- TRAI issued The Standards of Quality of Service (Duration of Advertisements in Television Channels) (Repealing) Regulations, 2026.
- This repeals the 2012 regulations which capped ads at 12 minutes per clock hour.
- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting omitted the ad cap on 21st August 2026.
- The change aims to enable fair competition and ease of doing business.
💡 Remember: TRAI repealed the 2012 TV ad regulations after MIB removed the 12-minute cap in 2026.

First FRA Regional Review Conference Held in Bengaluru
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs held the first regional review to assess implementation of the Forest Rights Act in Southern States.

DRI Seizes 41kg Gold, Arrests 24 in Smuggling Crackdown

DILRMP 3.0: Modernizing Land Records for 'Land Stack'
The Ministry of Rural Development launched DILRMP 3.0 to establish an integrated, GIS-based 'Land Stack' across India.

NSO Releases First District-Level Unincorporated Non-Agricultural Sector Estimates

PMMSY: Six Years of Empowering India's Fisheries Sector
