India to Host World Circular Economy Forum 2026
India will host the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026 in Gandhinagar, marking a first for South Asia.
- The World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026 will be held from 15th - 18th September 2026.
- It will take place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and is a first for South Asia.
- The theme is 'Circular Economy: Transition for People and Prosperity'.
- Over 2,000 stakeholders from 65+ countries will participate.
- It is jointly organized by CPCB, Sitra, MoEF&CC, and the Government of Gujarat.
- India also co-chairs the 10 Year Framework of Programmes (10 YFP) Board.

NHRC, India Hosts Human Rights Capacity Building for Global South
The **NHRC, India** is organizing a 6-day program with the **MEA** for senior human rights functionaries from the Global South.
- The ITEC Executive Capacity Building Programme is for NHRIs of the Global South.
- It will be held in New Delhi from September 14th to 19th, 2026.
- Forty-one functionaries from 15 NHRIs are expected to attend.
- It will be inaugurated by NHRC Chairperson Justice V. Ramasubramanian.
