CCPA penalises Rapido for misleading tipping and dark patterns

- Rapido used prompts like “Confirm Shaming” and “Interface Interference” to steer consumers.
- These practices include displaying "Higher the price, higher the chance of getting a ride" at booking.
- The CCPA found the practices violate Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023.
- The Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025, require tipping only after ride completion.
- The CCPA is also examining similar practices by Uber and Ola.

Kishau Multipurpose Project agreement resolves tenth water dispute

India's Labour Force Indicators Show Positive Trends in August 2026
The **Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS)** Monthly Bulletin for August 2026 reveals overall improvements in labour force participation and worker population ratio.
- Overall LFPR (15+ years) increased to 55.6% in August, 2026, up from 55.4% in July, 2026.
- Overall female LFPR (15+ years) reached 34.8% in August, 2026, 1.1 percentage points higher year-on-year.

- Rural Unemployment Rate (UR) declined to 4.1% in August, 2026, the lowest since January, 2026.
