Education to Employment and Enterprise Standing Committee Meeting

NITI Aayog convened the first meeting of a new High-Powered Standing Committee focused on aligning education, employment, and enterprise.

The committee was proposed in Para-51 of the Union Budget 2026-27.
It aims for India to achieve a 10% share of the global services market by 2047.
The first meeting was held on 22nd May 2026, chaired by Smt. Nidhi Chibber (CEO, NITI Aayog).
It assesses impact of frontier technologies like AI on jobs and skill requirements.
States like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh are represented.
